Embalming is a temporary preservation of the deceased’s body. This is entirely a choice made by the family. Our specialist embalmers can advise if the embalming process is recommended or not. Often it depends on the condition of the body and the family’s expectancy and whether there will be a viewing and visiting ceremony. Prior to the funeral ceremony we can also arrange for your loved one to visit home or a place of worship en-route to the crematorium for family and friends to pay their last respects. Part of our arrangement includes washing and dressing where the families can be involved during this. You are encouraged to bring clothes and toiletries that you would like to see your loved one in. This takes place in your private washing area if required.
